DTF Pressing Instructions
Great prints start with the right heat, time and pressure. Keep this page handy while you press.
Before You Press
Make sure the garment is clean, dry and wrinkle-free. Pre-press briefly to remove moisture and flatten the fabric. Position the transfer before pressing.
Press It in 4 Easy Steps
1. Pre-Press
Briefly pre-press the garment to remove moisture and wrinkles.
2. Press
Press at 300–320°F for 12–20 seconds using medium to firm pressure.
3. Cool & Peel
Allow the transfer to cool before peeling. Once cool, slowly remove the carrier film.
4. Repress
Cover the design with a textured finishing sheet or appropriate protective sheet and repress for 10 seconds.
Transfer Not Sticking?
Stop peeling. Lay the film back into position and press again using slightly more pressure. Allow the transfer to cool completely before peeling again.
Washing & Care
- Wait at least 24 hours before washing.
- Turn the garment inside out.
- Wash in cold or warm water with mild detergent.
- Avoid bleach and harsh chemicals.
- Air dry or tumble dry on low for the longest-lasting print.
- Do not iron directly over the printed design.
A Quick Note About Heat Presses
Heat presses and garments can vary. Temperature, pressure, fabric type and press calibration can affect results. Test your settings when working with an unfamiliar garment or material.
